During 2000 approximately $153,000 was spent on housing programs and loans,
leveraging 4 to 5 times those dollars with outside funds. In addition, approximately
$90,000 from the housing fund was expensed due to the removal of the activity center
. which will be recaptured upon redevelopment of the site. Because of the self supporting
nature of some of the City loans and programs, and the leveraging of dollars from other
funds, the total housing fund continues to have a balance of approximately $740,000
distributed among the various programs as outlined in the Housing Improvement Plan. In
future years, as demands on the fund increase, addition,al revenue sources will be
necessary.

4.0 Staff Recommendation.
Staff recommends approval of the revised Roseville Housing Improvement Plan.

5.0 Suggested Council Action.
By motion, adopt the Roseville Housing Improvement Plan for 2001 as amended.

Prepared by: Cathy Bennett, 490-2241
Attachments: Amended Housing Improvement Plan for 2001, Summary of Housing Programs.

Q:\Housing\Housing Policy RCA 1-8-01.doc

RCA - RHI P 01/08/01 - Page 2 of 2
