<br />The final meeting was held on Thursday, September 23 and featured the Hamline Center <br />Neighborhood. Sixteen participants signed in for this meeting. The visioning exercise results are <br />shown in Table 4. <br /> <br />New themes emerged from this meeting that were not prevalent at the other meetings. These <br />residents don't experience many of the typical problems ofliving next to a shopping center <br />district because the Hamline Center area is much less intensely utilized than other shopping <br />center districts. <br /> <br />These residents were primarily concerned about the future use of the large number of vacant <br />retail and office spaces in their neighborhood. They gave ideas on what types of uses they would <br />like to see in these vacant spaces in the future. These include senior housing; smaller, less <br />intense, convenience uses; office; and residential.
