<br />1 Excerpt of Minutes, Planning Commission meeting of May 10, 2000: <br />2 <br />3 6g. Planning File 3189: A request by James Trapp for a Sketch Plan <br />4 Review for the redevelopment of property located at 2211 County Road <br />5 C-2. The proposal would create a 37,000 square foot multiple tenant <br />6 structure. <br />7 <br />8 Thomas Paschke explained the sketch plan process and the reasons for the <br />9 project planning at this time. <br />10 <br />11 Richard Fischer, architect representing owner James Trapp, explained the <br />12 proposal for the site. The plan is to tear down metal buildings and replace <br />13 with new buildings of 25-27,000 s.L The buildings will be decorative <br />14 Fabcon tip-up panel construction. A showroom area for vans will be <br />15 necessary. He explained that the site plan must change to move building <br />16 area out from the NSP easements. Rice Creek Watershed District will <br />17 review the site as well (4.2 acres). <br />18 <br />19 Member Mulder asked if there are any brownfields on the site (possibly <br />20 two sites). <br />21 <br />22 Member Wilke asked for details on the original interim use permit <br />23 (Boater's Marine Outlet). <br />24 <br />25 Member Rhody clarified the concept plan for consolidating existing and <br />26 new square footage. <br />27 <br />28 Member Egli asked for details of the configuration wth new and old uses. <br />.;,. <br />:f29 <br />,/ 30 The cost of the building is important. <br />31 <br />32 Chair Klausing stated the site can be improved and it would upgrade the <br />33 facility. The uses appear acceptable. More detail on the architectural and <br />34 aesthetics will help. <br />35 <br />36 Member Rhody found the drawings sketchy but he is interested in the <br />37 final! formal product proposal. NSP will have to give some approval. <br />38 Will the project be dressed up including parking, landscaping and <br />39 building? <br />40 <br />41 Member Wilke asked if the truck bay can be moved to the west side of the <br />42 site.
