Any lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area shall be so arranged <br />so it is not directly visable from the adjoining property and in a downward vertical direction. <br /> <br />f. Curbing and Landscaping. All open off-street parking arei\S designed to have head-in parking <br />along the property line shall provide a bumper curb not less than five (5) feet from the <br />side property line or a guard of normal bumper height not less than three (3) feet from the <br />side property line. When said area is for six (6) spaces or more, a curb or screening not <br />over four (4) feet in height shall be erected along the front yard setback line and grass <br />or planting shall occupy the space between the sidewalk and curb or screening. <br /> <br />g. Planting Islands. For each additional 3,000 square feet of outside parking area after the <br />first 3,000 square feet, one (1) planting island of 200 square feet shall be installed with- <br />in the interior of the parking surface. All planting islands shall have six (6) inch con- <br />crete or asphalt curbs and a landscaped interior. <br /> <br /> <br />h. Parking space for six (6) or more cars. When a required off-street parking space for six <br />(6) cars or more is located adjacent to a Residential District, a fence or screen not less <br />than four (4) feet in height shall be erected along the Residential District property lines. <br /> <br />i. Maintenance of Off-Street Parking Space. It shall be the joint responsibility of the oper- <br />ator and owner of the principal use of building to reasonably maintain the parking space, <br />accessways, landscaping and required fences. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />j. Access. All off-street parking spaces shall have access from driveways and not directly <br />from the public street. <br /> <br />k. Determination of Areas. A parking space shall be not less than three hundred (300) square <br />feet per vehicle of standing and maneuvering area, unless otherwise considered appropriate <br />by the Planning Coordinator. <br /> <br />1. Off-street parking spaces shall not be reduced in number unless said number exceeds the re- <br />quirement set forth herein. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />(1) Churches or temples. <br /> <br />One (1) for each six (6) seats or twelve <br />(12) feet of pews in the main unit of <br />worship. <br /> <br />One (1) for each one (1) bed.
