Section 1009.08E limits pylon signs to no more than 100
square feet for signage per face. Section 1009.08G requires pylon signs to be a
maximum height of 25 feet.

Firestone

· The City is unable to determine the exact setback of the existing Firestone pylon sign;
however, it does not appear to be located 30 feet from the roadway easement along
County Road B and as such the sign is determined to be non-conforming. The sign
cannot be altered without a variance or other process.

· The existing Firestone pylon sign has a height of 19 feet and contains 84 square feet per
sign face. These dimensions meet the requirements of the City Code.

Twin City Federal

· The TCF pylon sign is setback greater than the 30 foot require front yard setback and the
signs height is 24 feet. However, the size per face is 112 square feet, 12 square feet over
the maximum allowed by Section 1009.08E of the Roseville City Code. Therefore this
pylon sign is determined to be non-conforming. It face of the pylon sign can be replaced,
but the sign cannot be altered unless a variance is granted.

Ground Round

.

The City is unable to determine the exact setback of the existing Ground Round pylon
sign; however, it does not appear to be located 30 feet from the roadway easement along
Snelling Avenue. Should the sign not be set back a minimum of 30 feet, it would be
considered non-conforming and could not be altered without a variance or other process.

7
