<br />./ On May 29th the junk and debris were removed <br /> <br />o Weeds exceed 8" in height. <br />./ On May 27th the weeds were cut <br /> <br />o The pylon sign is in need of repair. <br />./ On May 27th the pylon sign was removed along with the gas <br />pumps. <br /> <br />o The wooden soffit is missing sections. <br /> <br />1.5 The Property Manager has met with City staff and has indicated his intentions to <br />complete all of the repairs by July 1st. <br /> <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />2.1 Staff recommends that the Council approve abatement of identified City Code violations <br />with costs not to exceed 125% of estimates. <br /> <br />2.2 Staff further recommends actions toward repair not be commenced until after <br />July 10,2001, in order for the property owner to perform the repair and avoid <br />abatement. Any listed conditions still in violation on July 10, 2002 will be abated by the <br />City and assessed to the property. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />3.1 By resolution, authorize the Community Development Director to abate those City Code <br />violations identified in this report which are still in violation as of July 10,2002, <br />including: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br />f) <br />g) <br />h) <br /> <br />Secure two doors <br />Repair structure (peeling paint) <br />Repair wooden soffit (missing) <br />Replace plastic light panels <br />Remove cabinet and other debris <br />Reposition pole sign wording <br />Install panels on gas pumps <br />Administration of abatement process (10%) <br /> <br />completed by owner <br />$2,000.00 <br />750.00 <br />2,500.00 <br />completed by owner <br />completed by owner <br />completed by owner <br />525.00 <br /> <br />$5,775.00 <br /> <br />The above costs are estimates (the price quote obtained was not broken down). <br />Charges are to be assessed to the property and payment on taxes per City Code 407.06- <br />407.07.
