On Apr1l11t1'1 Kristin and I stopped by Mr. Paschke's office to pick up our buildIng permit He <br />said he had not yet heard bade form the DNR. but would follow up with us by the end of the <br />week. We did not hear from him. <br /> <br />. On April 12th our old house is moved off the lot at 391 $. Owasso. <br /> <br />. On Apri114f1t I called Mr. Pasc;hke's offic;e to find out if our building permit was approved. <br />was told that he had left for the day. <br /> <br />. On April 1 7~ Mr. Paschke called to Inform me that we need to apply for a variance In order to <br />proceed, citing the DNR comments al5 the reason we needed a Variance. <br /> <br />. On April1S1rl Mr. Paschke and I discw.s possible options to the variance. He does agree to <br />research the "standard5" concerning similar properties and variances. <br /> <br />. On April 1911'1 Mr. Paschke informs me that there are no alternatives and that we will need to <br />proceed with a request for a variance. I also $poke with Dennis Welsh, Community <br />Dl:'Jelopment Director. While he was sympathetic to our situation he offered no options. <br /> <br />Hardships <br />..t' 3 children now li"ini outsIde the school dilstrict, no bussIng and 2 different school schedules, <br />Kindergarten and 1 Grade. . <br /> <br />~ Eal1y sprfng construction allows for c:hlldren to be in our new heme before the autumn school <br />year begins. <br /> <br />./' Our old house is gone. <br /> <br />./' ContractoTS scheduled and ready to go. <br /> <br />./' Construction loan already dosed, <br /> <br />J' The family is paying additioniJl monthly rent <br /> <br />./' pennits have already been approved. <br /> <br />./' Current state of our lot is an eye sore and potential hazard. <br />
