Work
below the ordinary high water elevation (OHW) of Zimmerman Lake
requires a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Work in
Protected Waters Permit. The OHW has been determined to be
923.2 (NGVD, 1929). Review of the permit application materials
indicate all proposed work at the site is above this elevation.
Therefore, a DNR permit is not required for the work as proposed.
I have enclosed voided check numbeL 0015022 which was submitted
as the permit application fee for your records.

If plans are altered to include work below the OHW of Zimmermar.
Lake a DNR permit will be required.

The stormwater appears to be treated prior to entering Zimmerman
Lake. This will help minimize the impact of development on the
lake and ensure the basin will con~inue to be an amenity to the.
Waters Edge development.

Erosion control during the grading activities is important to
protecting Zimmerman Lak~. The proper design, installation, and
maintenance of erosion control Best Management Practices should
be utilized to minimize the effect of development on Zimmerman
Lake. I suggest you consult Tom Peter SOl. of the Ramsey County
Soil and Water Conservation District (phone# 488-1476) for
specific design information.

AN EOUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYEn
