<br />EXISTING TRAFFIC SITUATION

<br />The existing traffic situation serves as a basis for analyzing the traffic
<br />impacts of future development. Table 1 summarizes the past, present and
<br />future average dally traffic volumes on the adjacent street system.

<br />County Road 8-2 between Snel ling Avenue and Hamling Avenue is the roadway
<br />segment on which the entrance to the Waters Edge development IS located.
<br />In June, 1979, the volume of traffic on tha,. segment was 6,375 vehicles per
<br />day. Since thot count was tak~n a major addition to the Rosedale Shopping
<br />Center, a Montgomery Wards store opened on August 1, 1979. Additional
<br />traffic counts were taken on County Road B-2 to update the traffic volumes
<br />presently found on this section of roadw~y, and are shown In Table 2.
<br />Traffic has Increased 33% to a present vol~me of 8,500 vehicles per day.
