Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, September 22, 2014 <br /> Page 6 <br /> Council, they were recommending that the public hearing be held to hear public <br /> testimony, but action be deferred to later tonight if and when Councilmember Et- <br /> ten arrived, or tabled until a future meeting. <br /> City Attorney Gaughan concurred, advising that if any conditions or contingen- <br /> cies were needed before the actual vacation, this would allow some lag time, and <br /> tabling action to a later date would be appropriate. <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, City Attorney Gaughan confirmed that the public <br /> hearings were noticed appropriately per City policy and state statute. <br /> Councilmembers Willmus and Laliberte expressed their interest in deferring ac- <br /> tion to a later meeting in order to allow Councilmember Etten an opportunity to <br /> review the video of tonight's meeting, even if he arrived later this evening as <br /> planned. <br /> City Attorney Gaughan and City Engineer Culver concurred that tabling action <br /> would probably be prudent given those considerations. <br /> Mr. Culver provided a brief presentation of the request, as detailed in the RCA <br /> dated September 22, 2014; advising that staff had received no feedback to-date. <br /> Mayor Roe opened and closed the Public Hearing at approximately 6:35 p.m. with <br /> no one appearing for or against. <br /> Willmus move, Laliberte seconded TABLING consideration of the vacation re- <br /> quest at 197 County Road B-2 until the next scheduled City Council meeting, Oc- <br /> tober 6, 2014. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> b. Consider the Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements located along Lots <br /> 18—21, Block 1, O'Neil's Addition <br /> City Engineer Culver provided a brief presentation of the request, as detailed in <br /> the RCA dated September 22, 2014; advising that staff had received no feedback <br /> to-date; with the request contingent upon final plat approval. <br /> At the request of Councilmember Willmus, Mr. Culver confirmed that the pur- <br /> pose of this easement vacation was basically to clean up title work and record en- <br /> cumbrances. <br /> Mayor Roe opened and closed the Public Hearing at approximately 7:38 p.m. with <br /> no one appearing for or against. <br />
