Land Use <br /> <br />1-1 <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kysylyczn seconded to continue, discussions <br />of the Request by Engelsma LLP for a Conditional Use Permit to <br />allow a licensed bingo hall to operate and the Hamline Center, <br />2807 Hamline Avenue North, until the next Council meeting of <br />October 2,2000. Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke, <br />Mastel, and Kysylyczyn. Nays: None. <br /> <br />1-2 <br /> <br />Mastel moved, Goedeke seconded, to approve a resolution as <br />amended granting the variance to Susan Bruhn, 1983 Cleveland <br />Avenue, for a 13-foot deviation from the required rear yard <br />setback. The variance will allow the replacement of an existing <br />porch to a size 10 feet by 17 feet (170 square feet), 17 feet from <br />the rear yard property line, based on the staff findings of <br />hardship. Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke, 'Mastel, and <br />Kysylyczyn. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, by resolution, to approve <br />granting A) A conditional use permit to allow construction of a <br />2000 square foot car wash with storage and enclosed trash <br />container area based on the findings in Section 3 of the project <br />report and with conditions 4.2 through 4.9 of the project report <br />dated 9/25/2000. Roll Call, Ayes: Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke, <br />Mastel, and Kysylyczyn. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, by resolution, to approve <br />granting the following items: B) A variance for the proposed exit <br />drive lane being located three feet into the required five foot side <br />yard (west) setback; C) A variance for the pre-existing non- <br />conforming parking area being located seven feet into the <br />required 15 foot parking lot setback from a street right-of-way <br />(Section 1005.01 D6B) or from the permanent highway and utility <br />easement whichever is most current; and D) A variance for the <br />pre-existing non-conforming driveway along County Road B <br />being located closer than 50 feet from the intersecting street <br />right-of-way lines (Section 1005.09).
