101Roseville will be launching a new website this fall. Staff are really excited about the <br />102potential the new site will have and look for improved usability. <br />103Parks & Recreation will be hosting a community playground build at Langton Lake Park <br />104(adjacent to the ball fields) on September 6. Kelly O’Brien, Roseville Volunteer <br />105Coordinator, is working to secure volunteers for this event. <br />106 <br />107Brokke reported; <br />108Youth Commissioner, Chloe Boehm has graduated. We will be working to fill the student <br />109representative position over the next couple of months. <br />110Council Updates: <br />111Staff are working to address Council’s request to outfit new buildings with <br />o <br />112electronic access capabilities, security cameras and network connectivity. Staff <br />113will be taking network connectivity information to the Council for their <br />114consideration next week. <br />115Staff have continued discussions on the Mounds View school district property adjacent to <br />116Autumn Grove Park. Council will be asked to extend the original purchase agreement to <br />117continue due diligence to learn more about the ground conditions. <br />118The City Manager has presented his budget, items of interest related to Parks & <br />119Recreation include; <br />120Recommendation of a full-time forestry position with an emphasis on tree <br />o <br />121preservation and work incollaboration with Community Development. <br />122$25,000 to address EAB issues. <br />o <br />123Additional funding to support maintenance needs for the new park buildings. <br />o <br />124 <br />8.OTHER <br />125 <br />126M. Holt updated the Commission on the upcoming FORParks event, Tapped and <br />127Uncorked. 20 beverage distributors have agreed to attend as well as 7 food vendors. The <br />128evening will featuremusic by High & Mighty and other activities. <br />129D.
