ominator and Nominee Parameters <br />N: <br />Eligibility is open to profit and nonprofit public and private individuals and groups who <br />are part of or serve the Roseville community. <br />Personal and professional accomplishments relative to human rights are worthy of <br />nomination. <br />One may submit multiple nominations. <br />Anyone may submit a nomination, but a person may not nominate one’s self. <br />HRC commissioners and City Council members and their families are not eligible for this <br />award. <br />Application Deadline <br />Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. <br />The application deadline will be early April or May. Thinking that this is before people are in <br />summer mode but not near the HR essay contest deadline. <br />Nomination Form <br />The nomination form will be available electronically on the HRC website. <br />Those who cannot access the electronic form can request a paper copy from the City of <br />Roseville. <br />Completed applications will be accepted via e-mail or post. <br />If a nominee does not win the award, their application may be resubmitted the following year. <br />The HRC will not automatically resubmit applications. <br />Publicity <br />Provide printed flyer to Roseville community resources such as nonprofits, places of worship, <br />cultural centers, food shelves, and schools. <br />Submit press release to local newspapers, community websites such as Nextdoor.org, the <br />HRC homepage, and the City of Roseville’s website and social media. <br />Publicity will include explanation of what would make someone a good candidate. <br />Publicity should begin 3 months prior to the nomination deadline. <br />Nomination Evaluation and Awardee Determination <br />The HRC will strive to determine the awardees within 6-8 weeks after the nomination <br />deadline. <br />3-4 HRC commissioners will serve on the Nominee Review Committee (NRC). They will <br />read all nominations, cooperate to make the required calls to nominee references and agree <br />upon which nominees to recommend to the HRC as awardees. <br /> <br />
