He recommended Commissioner Carey also look at local service <br />228 <br />organizations as a way to fill smaller gaps in the funding. <br />229 <br />230 <br />Commissioner Singleton suggested contacting the MN Council of Nonprofits. They have a list <br />231 <br />of foundations that may be interested in providing funding for this type of programming. <br />232 <br />233 <br />Commissioner Bachhuber suggested contacting the League of MN Cities because they have a <br />234 <br />task force for civility with a municipality focus. They have resources and links on their website. <br />235 <br />236 <br />Commissioner Thao stated the website addresses are mcf.org and lmc.org. <br />237 <br />238 <br />c.League of MN HRCs Annual Meeting Update <br />239 <br />240 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated the MN HRCs annual meeting would be held on October 25 from 1:00 <br />241 <br />p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Maplewood Public Library. <br />242 <br />243 <br />Ms. Collins stated the Maplewood Public Library will not be the location. A new flyer would be <br />244 <br />sent out once a new location has been identified. <br />245 <br />246 <br />Commissioner Singleton stated he had been working with the League Secretary and the new <br />247 <br />location would be the Brooklyn Park City Council Chambers on October 25 from 1:00 p.m. to <br />248 <br />3:00 p.m. There would be a speaker and food available. <br />249 <br />250 <br />Commissioner Bachhuber asked if the Commissioners were encouraged to attend. <br />251 <br />252 <br />Commissioner Singleton stated Chair Groff is the HRC’s Liaison but Commissioners can attend <br />253 <br />as well. <br />254 <br />255 <br />d.League of MN HRCs 2015 Annual Dues <br />256 <br />257 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated the HRC has a budget balance at this time of $360.00 and the 2015 <br />258 <br />dues for the League of MN HRCs is $100.00. The dues buy the HRC a seat on the board, being <br />259 <br />able to share knowledge with other Commissioners and they sponsor the Essay Contest. <br />260 <br />261 <br />Commissioner Thao moved and Commissioner Carey seconded a motion to approve payment of <br />262 <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br />$100.00 for the 2015 League of MN HRCs annual dues. <br />263 <br />264 <br />e.Annual KOM Gala <br />265 <br />266 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated he would not be able to attend the event.
