ROSEVILLE RESIDENT SURVEy
On January 22, 2002, a third mailing was sent to a11 individuals who had not yet returned
their survey. This mailing was identical procedurally to the first mailing and included a
copy of the questionnaire, a reminder cover letter, and a self-addressed, stamped return
envelope.
Copies of the cover letters and postcard are presented in Appendix C.
Sunervision and Quality Control of the Mailings
The three mailings were completed by the staff in the Administration Department at the
City of Raseville. Questionnaires were returned directly to MCSR and were coded with
the return date. `Return to Sender' mail sent to the City of Roseville was delivered to
MCSR at the end of the survey period.
Survey Returns
Returned surveys were counted to track sample status and response rate. Peak survey
returns occuned within a few days after each mailing and illustrate the importance of
multiple mailings to ensure a high response rate (see Figure 1).
FIGURE 1
ROSEVILLE RESIDENT SURVEY - SINGLE FAMILY
NUMBER OF COMPLETED SURVEYS BY DATE
140
120
a
 100

v 80

0
d 60
.c
 40
z
20
0
     v
v .' oo n o0
° N o 0
Date
MINNESOTA CENTER FOR SURVEY RESEARCH PAGE 3
