Thus, it is not <br />anticipated that traffic improvements or other mitigation measures will be <br />required to address air quality issues associated with the proposed project. <br /> <br />Stationary Source Air Emissions: Will the project involve any stationary <br />sources of air emissions (Such as boilers or exhaust stacks)? <br />Yes No <br /> <br />If yes, describe the sources, quantities, and composition of the emissions; the <br />proposed air pollution control devises; the quantities and composition of the <br />emissions after treatment; and the effects on air quality. <br /> <br />The project will involve installation of small, natural gas-fired space heating <br />devices in new buildings. Natural gas-fired space heaters exhaust small amounts <br />of PM, NOx, CO, and HC. These space-heating devices are not expected to <br />adversely affect air quality in the area. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />Will the project generate dust, odors, or noise during construction and lor <br />operation? <br />Yes No <br /> <br />If yes, describe the sources, characteristics, duration, and quantities or <br />intensity, and any proposed measures to mitigate adverse impacts. Also <br />identify the locations of sensitive receptors in the vicinity and estimate the <br />impacts on these receptors. <br /> <br />The project will not generate significant odors. <br /> <br />The proposed development has the potential to generate noise from two types of <br />sources: <br />· Construction activities; <br />· Additional traffic generated by the development. <br /> <br />Significant noise impacts occur when: <br />· Noise levels increase by ~ 3 decibels (dBA); <br />· Noise levels exceed state standards. <br /> <br />There are two descriptors for state noise standards: <br />· L 1 0 - the 90th percentile, in which noise levels are exceeded 10 percent of the <br />time. <br />· L50 - the 50th percentile, in which noise levels are exceeded 50 percent of the <br />time. <br /> <br />Page 27 <br />
