We offer the fol1owing comments for your consideration.

Item 13 indicates that no water appropriation is anticipated with the project. If construction does
indeed require temporary dewatering in excess of 10,000 gallons per day, or 1,000,000 gallons
per year, then a DNR water appropriation permit is necessary.

Item 18 discusses issues of project-related storm water runoff management. We have two
comments to offer:

I. Item 18a indicates that the project will utilize infiltration areas. This is a positive project
feature and DNR commends the proposer for this project feature. Increasingly, DNR is
recommending consideration of infiltration-based techniques to ensure that both runoff
quantity and quality are addressed in a project's environmental design. We also
commcmd the proposer for reducing the footprl1.1t of the buildings at the site, which will in
turn reduce the amount of storm water runoff generated at the site from the current
condition.

2. I tern 18b indicates that runoff will be directed to a regional storm water pond that in turn
discharges to "DNR Wetland 50-W," This waterbody is Wilson Lake, which is listed on
the public waters wetland inventory as #62-0050W. The. regioual storm water pond is
part of Wilson Lake. As such if the project requires any work in the pond below the the
Ordinary High Water (OHW) level of 903.5' (NGVD, 1929), then this activity is under
the jurisdiction of the DNR and the work may require a DNR public waters pennit

DNRInformatioJ:l: 651-296-6157 · 1-888-646-6p67 · ITY: 651-296-5484 · 1-800-657-3929

An Equal Opponul\i\y Emplo)'u
Who Values Dive($lty

~ Printed en ReeyClea P8IJ~ Containing a
~~ Minimum 01 10% Post-ConsumBf Waste

. ~ ., '.....

....,.. .,".', ',~.."" .'" .

" '~-.. ._~...
