Call to Order: <br />5 <br /> <br />6 <br />Chair Bakeman called the June 1, 2005 meeting of the City of Roseville Variance Board <br />7 <br />to order at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. <br />8 <br /> <br />9 <br />2. Roll Call: <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br />Present: Bakeman, Boerigter, Pust <br />12 <br /> Absent: None <br />13 <br /> Staff present: Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br />Procedure: Minutes are to reflect members and alternates at the meeting. Items will be <br />16 <br />voted on in “numbers”, not names, unless there is a roll call. <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br />3. Approval of Minutes: <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br />a. Motion: <br /> Motion by Member Boerigter, seconded by Member Bakeman, to approve <br />21 <br />the minutes of May 4, 2005 as amended: page 2, line 38, delete: sing, insert: sign; page 3, <br />22 <br />line 11 and 12, delete names on vote and insert: Ayes: 3, Nays: 0; page 4, line 44, delete: <br />23 <br />because it is done throughout the neighborhood, insert: because parking on the boulevard <br />24 <br />is permitted. <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> Ayes: 3 <br />27 <br /> Nays: 0 <br />28 <br /> Motion carried. <br />29 <br /> <br />30 <br />4. Public Hearing: <br />31 <br /> <br />32 <br />a. Planning File 3643:Request by Jean and Nasim Ayub for a Variance to <br /> <br />33 <br />Section 1004 of the Roseville City Code to allow an increase in the front yard <br />34 <br />fence height from 4 feet to 8 feet for property located at 936 Highway 36. <br /> <br />35 <br /> <br />36 <br />Chair Bakeman opened the hearing and requested staff provide a verbal summary of the project <br />37 <br />report dated June 1, 2005. <br />38 <br /> <br />39 Jean and Nasim Ayub have submitted a proposal <br />City Planner, Thomas Paschke, advised that <br />40 to place a 6 to 8 foot tall fence within their front yard adjacent to Highway 36, for privacy <br />41 purposes. <br />42 <br />43 The proposal by Jean and Nasim Ayub seeks to add a second fence adjacent to the chain <br />44 link highway right of way fence, which lies along with north property line, then possibly <br />45 along the east and west property lines from the house rear (south) wall to the north <br />46 property line, to provide the family with privacy and reduce the noise generated from <br />47 Highway 36. <br />48 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
