1 No immediate (5 years or less) upgrades are planned for this portion of Highway 36, 2 except potentially a rebuild of the Lexington Avenue Bridge and ramps. No sound walls 3 or barriers are currently proposed. 4 5 The Community Development Department recommended approval of a 2 foot to 4 foot 6 Variance to Section 1012.02B2 of the Roseville City Code for Jean and Nasim Ayub, 936 7 Highway, based on the findings in Section 5 and compliance with the following 8 conditions: 9 a. 10 The fence must not exceeding a height of 8 feet measured from the 11 existing grade to top of fence along the north side (front) of the property 12 and 6 feet along the east (front side lot line) and west (front side lot line) 13 of the front yard.. 14 b. 15 The fence must be of an earthen tone to match with vegetation and lawns 16 in the area. If there is a more finished side to the fence, that side must face 17 the two adjoining neighbors’ lots. 18 c. 19 The applicant must stake the side property lines from property corners 20 throughout the area along the side lot lines where the fence will be 21 installed. 22 23 Jean Ayub, 936 Highway 36, asked that there could be a finished side seen from the 24 applicant’s lot. She described the need for privacy. 25 26 Chair Bakeman closed the hearing. 27 Motion: 28 Member Paschke moved, seconded by Member Boerigter, to adopt a Resolution 29 approving a4 foot front yard and a 2 foot front side yard Variance to Section 1012.02B2 30 of the Roseville City Code for Jean and Nasim Ayub, 936 Highway 36, based on the 31 findings in Section 5 and the conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated June 1, 32 2005. 33 34 Ayes: 3 35 Nays: 0 36 Motion carried. 37 38 Chair Bakeman explained the next steps and the ten day appeal process. 39 40 5.
