<br />City of Roseville Parking Requirements <br />Consolidated from existing City Code, July, 2000 <br />By: Roseville Community Development Department <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose <br /> <br />A. The purpose of regulating of parking and loading is to alleviate or prevent <br />congestion of the public and private right-of-ways to promote the safety and <br />general welfare of the public. <br /> <br />Section 2. Application of Parking Requirements <br /> <br />A. In order to regulate parking and loading, the following minimum requirements <br />have been established for vehicle parking and loading in accordance with the use <br />of various parcels of land and structures. All uses existing on the effective date of <br />the (re)adoption of this code shall be required to comply as detennined by the <br />Community Development Director with the minimum parking requirements set <br />forth below. Whenever a change of usage occurs, the new use shall fully comply <br />with the parking requirements including number of spaces required by the new <br />use. <br /> <br />Section 3. Site Plan Drawing Necessary <br /> <br />A. All applications for a building pennit, in all districts, shall include a site plan, <br />drawn to scale and dimensioned, which in part depicts the location of vehicle <br />parking and loading areas in compliance with the following requirements. N <br /> <br />Section 4. General Provisions <br /> <br />A. An Automobile Parking Space is defined as a suitably surfaced and pennanently <br />maintained area, either within or outside of a building, of sufficient size to store <br />one automobile as specified in this Code. Space for a single vehicle shall be nine <br />feet by eighteen feet (9' x 18') or larger provided that up to fifty percent (50%) of <br />the required spaces may be not less than eight feet by eighteen feet (8' x 18') when <br />posted "Compact Vehicles Only". Aisles shall be provided for ingress and egress <br />and shall be a minimum of twenty four feet (24') in width (for 90 degree parking). <br />(1004.01 D) (1 007.01 F 1) <br /> <br />B. General Density Requirements, Exceptions And Credits: <br /> <br />1. The total minimum lot requirements for structures housing three (3) or more <br />dwelling units in any R District may be reduced by one hundred (100) square <br />feet per dwelling unit if the property involved is contiguous to a B or an I <br />District.
