Charter schools
are public schools sponsored by an educational institution that grants teachers and parents more
freedom to develop a curriculum they feel that is best suited for meeting the goals of its students.
These particular schools are charged with the mission to maximize opportunities for children
predominately from the east African and specifically the Somali communities in the Twin Cities.

This building was selected by the members of the community to house the schools because of its
close proximity to the community to be served.
