The building was completed in 1962 and has been <br />under the continuous ownership of Meritex Enterprises ever since. The building has undergone a <br />variety of uses since its completion almost 40 years ago, such as research and development, bulk <br />warehouse, manufacturing, general office, telecommunications switch site and computer data <br />center. <br /> <br />Currently the building has approximately 270,000 square feet of available space for lease. <br />Existing tenants at Highcrest Park include: <br /> <br />. Multek <br /> <br />Proposed Tenant's Use <br /> <br />Approximately 50,000 rentable square feet at the building will be leased to the Minnesota <br />International Middle School (MIMS) and Twin Cities International Elementary School (TIES). <br />Both schools are charter schools that have received all necessary approvals to open for the fall of <br />200 I. Charter schools are public schools sponsored by an educational institution that grants <br />teachers and parents more freedom to develop a curriculum they feel that is best suited for <br />meeting the goals of its students.
