<br />9-A Narrative <br />Due to the upcoming street project onW est Owasso Boulevard, we have been notified <br />that our current driveway location is out of compliance with zoning code 703,04 B-4. <br />This code requires that a driveway be at least thirty feet from the right-of-way line of an <br />adjacent street, and our driveway is currently only 12.5 feet south of the right-of-way line <br />for Brenner Avenue, <br /> <br />Moving our driveway to comply with code, however, would render our garage entirely <br />inaccessible from the proposed driveway location. Our garage also currently ends <br />approximately 12.5 feet south of the right-of-way line in question, and it begins less than <br />30 feet from that right-of-way line, <br /> <br />The southern stall of the garage (the one beginning 30 feet from the right-of-way line) is <br />original to the 1950s-era house, The northern stall, which ends 12,5 feet from the right- <br />of-way line, was also added prior to our buying the property. Therefore, as the variance <br />application requires, we as current owners "have not created the condition that requires <br />the variance." We respectfully request a variance from City Code in order to maintain <br />access to our garage. <br />
