<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council ofthe City ofRoseville, County <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 26th day of June 2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING JAMES TELSTAD VARIANCES TO SECTIONS 1004.01A3 <br />(DETACHED ACCESSORY BUILDING SIZE LIMIT), 1004.01A4 (REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />INCREASED MAXIMUM SIZE), 1004.01A5 (OVERALL AREA), 1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM <br />TOTAL SURFACE AREA), AND 1004.01A8 (MINIMUM SETBACKS) <br />OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE (PF 3310). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James Telstad has requested a variance to replace an existing accessory building that <br />lies one foot from the property line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Telstad is the owner of property located at 2993 Fairview Avenue, legally <br />described as: <br />Lot 1, Rohleder's Oak Grove, Ramsey County, Minnesota (PID 042923240025. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Staff has determined that variances from Sections <br />1004.01A3, 1004.0IA4, 1004.01A5, 1004.01A6, and 1004.01A8 of the Roseville City Code are necessary <br />in order to allow the accessory building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Staff has received incomplete information regarding <br />Mr. Telstad's intentions enabling staffto thoroughly consider the ramifications of replacing the small <br />accessory building and determine whether there are unique circumstances or hardships present to warrant <br />granting the identified variances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding Mr. Telstad's <br />request and recommended (6-0) to deny the request based on the findings indicated in Section 6 of the <br />project request dated June 13,2001; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to deny the request by <br />James Telstad for variances to Section 1004.01A3 (Detached Accessory Building Size Limit), 1004.01A4 <br />(Requirements for Increasing Maximum Size), 1004.01A5 (Overall Area), 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total <br />Surface Area), and 1004.01A8 (Minimum Setbacks) based on the findings indicated in Section 6 of the <br />project report dated June 26,2001. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />1 <br />
