Box 547796
Orlando, FL 32854-7796

RE: Roselawn Cemetery request for Conditional Use Permit.

Dear Mr. Cziork:

On July 11, the Roseville Planning Commission recommended approval of a crematory faciliyty
on the Roselawn Cemetery property with 10 conditions. The Commission also suggested that
Roselawn Cemetery be better prepared to address issues related to the following items:

· Mercury, hydrogen chloride, and carbon monoxide emission levels.

· Noise levels (decibel) of a crematory unit (specific to the All 2500 Elite) inside and
outside a structure.

· Manufacturer's specifications of use and operation.

· Heat levels (btu's) emitted from the All 2500 Elite.

· How the automatic emission control system works.

Additional questions have been generated by the neighborhood in the form of a handout which is
attached.

These issues or concerns have been at the forefront of the Roselawn Cemetery request and
should be addressed at the July 23, 2001 City Council meeting at which meeting the Council will
either approve or deny the request.

The Community Development Department suggests that you be prepared to provide the City
Council with the above inforn1ation and or other regarding crematories should you be asked to
comment. The City Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23 in the City Hall
Council Chambers at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota.

2660 Civic Center Drive .:.
