Students will examine the physical structures of the outer ear, <br />locate acupoints on the various auricular surfaces, and study those acupoints in <br />their therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Covers general knowledge of Chinese formulas <br />and prescriptions, such as the relationship between formulas and therapeutic <br />principles, commonly used therapeutic methods, classification, composition, <br />patterns and the preparation of formulas. The primary focus is on the <br />applications and modifications of individual formulas. After completing this <br />class, students are expected to be able to correctly select and modity a formula <br />according to an accurate pattern correctly identified.
