<br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />July 24, 2001 <br /> <br />Mr. Douglas Root <br />2468 North Hamline Avenue <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br /> <br />RE: Request for a Variance (PF3320) <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Root: <br /> <br />The purpose of this letter is to confirm that the Roseville City Council, at their meeting of July <br />23,2001, approved your request for a variance from Section 1004.01A7 (Location) and Section <br />1004.01AIO (Height) of the City Code, to allow for construction ofa 24 foot by 26 foot (624 <br />square foot) detached garage. <br /> <br />The Council adopted a Resolution, which the City will file with Ramsey County, by the following <br />motion: <br /> <br />Adopt a resolution to approve the request by Douglas Root for: <br /> <br />. A variance to Section 1004.01 A 7 of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a <br />detached accessory structure in the front yard; and <br /> <br />. A three foot variance to Section 1004.01AlO of the Roseville City Code to allow a <br />detached accessory structure to be constructed to a maximum height of 18 feet (as <br />measures a the midpoint of the roof truss) allowing a natural light clerestory to be <br />incorporated into the structures design, <br /> <br />for property located at 2468 Hamline Avenue, based on the findings in Section 3 of the project <br />report dated July 23, 2001. <br /> <br />If you have any questions relative to the Council action, please call me. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br />City of Roseville <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke <br />City Planner <br />
