<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Date: 08/13/01 <br />Item No: e-3 <br /> <br /> <br />pproval: <br /> <br />Manager A roved: <br />1 ',f Eto <br />City initiated request for a 60-day plan review extension regarding the request by Bauer <br />Homes Variance from Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code for property <br />located at 691 Heinel Drive (PF3327). <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />1.1 The Community Development Department is seeking an extension to the 60-day plan review time <br />line to discuss development options with Bauer Homes for the property located at 691 Heniel Drive. <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />2.1 On July 11,2001, the Roseville Planning Commission continued the Bauer Home request for a <br />variance to their August 8 meeting. The Commission directed the applicant to design a site plan that <br />included a proposed home on the parcel allowing the Commission to consider the request for <br />variance based on a specific proposal. <br /> <br />2.2 During the week of July 23 - 27, the Community Development Staff received a telephone call from <br />Steve Zawadski ofW. F. Bauer Homes to discuss the requested information for the August 8 <br />Planning Commission meeting. Mr. Zawadski indicated that he would be on vacation and unable to <br />provide the necessary information to the Commission for their consideration. He asked to have the <br />request continued to the Commission meeting of September 1ih. <br /> <br />2.3 The Community Development Staff suggested that Mr. Zawadski provide the City with a letter <br />explaining the circumstances and request a review extension. However, a letter was never received. <br />Hence, given the current time line, staff will seek the extension. <br /> <br />3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />3.1 In order to properly provide the Planning Commission with the information they requested, and to act <br />properly on the requested variance, the Community Development Department is requesting a 60-day <br />plan review extension. The extension will allow the land use application to be processed in <br />September 2001, without concern over state mandated review deadlines. <br /> <br />4.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />4.1 Adopt a resolution to approve a 60-day extension to the plan review deadline for the request by <br />Bauer Homes (PF3327) from August 10,2001 to October 9, 2001. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke <br /> <br />Attachments: Resolution, 60-Day Schedule: Application accepted on Junel2, 2001.
