15. Water surface use. Will the project change the number or type of watercraft on any water
body? Yes No
If yes, indicate the current and projected watercraft usage and discuss any potential
overcrowding or conflicts with other uses,

No recreational surface waters are present on the site.

16. Erosion and sedimentation. Give the acreage to be graded or excavated and the cubic yards
of soil to be moved: acres ->' cubic yards--"- Describe any steep slopes or highly erodible
soils and identifY them on the site map, Describe any erosion and sedimentation control
measures to be used during and after project construction.

Improvements to the site wil1 not require significant grading. The site has already been mass
graded as part of improvements to the Business Park in 1997. An erosion control plan is not
required for review by the Watershed District due to the acreage to be distributed.

No steep slopes are located on the property. Minimal potential for problem erosion exists.

The Solutia site was graded to pad elevations during mass grading in 1997. Grading, utility,
street and drainage pond construction has been completed. The earthwork required to final
grade the site will be minimal.

It is anticipated that during site grading, existing topsoil will be stockpiled and later re-
applied in the landscape areas. The remaining ground will need to be adjusted to final grade
with proper soil preparation to support the buildings and parking lots.

Standard practices for erosion control will be followed for this site. Anticipated BMP's are:
Rock Entrance to minimize soil tracking on the roadways from vehicle traffic; silt fence / hay
bale interception to keep silt and fine soils from eroding off-site and onto hard surfaces;
storm sewer inlets will be screened to minimize the loss of soil into the existing and
proposed storm structures. Although reviewed by the watershed is not required, final
grading plans will meet or exceed the Rice Creek Watershed District requirements for
erosion control.

17. Water quality: surface water runoff
a. Compare the quantity and quality of site runoff before and after the project,
Describe permanent controls to manage or treat runoff Describe any stormwater
pollution prevention plans.

The Centre Pointe Business Park has been developed with sites meeting the Business
Park PUD requirement of 25% green space. The 1997 EA W was developed
assuming that 25% of the developed area would be green space. The proposed
improvements to the Solutia site will exceed the minimum green space requirements
of 25%.

Environmental Assessment Worksheet
Centre Pointe Business Park
