County Road B-2. <br /> <br />Backqround: <br /> <br />1. The City ordinances indicate that ground signs can be no <br />taller than 8 feet. <br /> <br />2. Mart Turner/Edison Signs 'requested a variance to have a ground <br />sign which was 10'1" tall instead of the required 8 feet. <br /> <br />3. The Planning Commission, on a 4-1 vote, recommended denial of <br />the variance because a hardship was not demonstrated. <br /> <br />4. Subsequent to the Planning Commission hearing, the applicant <br />-has withdrawn his application and applied for a sign permit <br />for a sign that would meet the 8 foot requirement. <br /> <br />Staff'Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council accept the withdrawal <br />of Mart Turner/Edison Signs request for a sign height variance <br />at 1935 W. County Road B-2. <br /> <br />Council Action ReQUested: <br /> <br />1.
