Approve Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Apply for SCORE Fund- <br /> ing Grant <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Trudgeon briefly summarized this re- <br /> quest for annual funding of the City's recycling program in SCORE funds through <br /> Ramsey County. <br /> Councilmember McGehee suggested now that the City of Roseville was more ac- <br /> tive with the GreenStep program, including pursuing organics recycling, some <br /> funds from this grant be reallocated to prevent leeching into wetlands at the City <br /> leaf recycling site as well as assisting senior residents in their recycling efforts. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte questioned, if the City were to put forth new ideas to <br /> enhance its recycling program, would it change the amount the City is eligible for <br /> in this annual funding. <br /> City Manager Trudgeon responded that the City's Environmental Specialist Ryan <br /> Johnson could bring back additional information at a later meeting, including <br /> planning underway for organics collection. <br /> Councilmember Willmus asked that the City's Public Works, Environment and <br /> Transportation Commission be tasked with looking into this as well. Coun- <br /> cilmember Willmus noted several newer community events that did not include <br /> "zero waste" efforts in the past, and asked that anytime there is a City function or <br /> Foundation event, if on City property, they be"zero waste"events as well. <br /> McGehee moved, Willmus seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 11188_entitled, <br /> "Resolution Requesting 2015 SCORE Funding Grant for Use in Roseville's Resi- <br /> dential Recycling Program;" authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant ap- <br /> plication to Ramsey County in the amount of$70,419.00 <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 9. General Ordinances for Adoption <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe briefly recessed the meeting at approximately 6:16 p.m., and reconvened at approxi- <br /> mately 6:17 p.m. <br /> 10.
