April 25, 2002

Mr. Brad Hoff
1897 Shady Beach
Roseville, Mn. 55113

Dear Brad:

On Monday, April 22, 2002, the Roseville City Council approved your request for a
variance as follows:

Retention of 6.5 foot fence in front yard, in front of house building line.

This approval allows you to proceed with removal of existing 105 feet of shoreward
fencing and finish installation of the new street side fencing.

Attached is a City of Roseville check for $ 5,250.00 to reimburse you for the 105 lineal
feet of fence, which consists of $37.58 per lineal foot of constructed and installed fence
on your site and $12.42 per lineal foot for the removal and disposal of the 105 feet of
fence. According to the mediation agreement, within 60 days of receipt of this check your
contractor will remove the 105 feet of fence from the site.

Upon removal of the fence, please notify me in order for a final inspection. Upon
completion of the inspection, the staff will request the Council to adopt a resolution
approving the variance. This variance approval resolution then will be recorded with your
property records at the City and the County for future reference.

Sincerely,

CITY OF ROSEVILLE

By: Dennis P.
