REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION Manager Approved: ,.-"1 ? :/ DATE: 09/24/01 ITEM NO: C 7 Agenda Section: CONSENT A request by Kenneth Damman for a 60-day time extension on the application for Variance to Section lO04.01Al, lO04.1A5, lO04.01A6 of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a third accessory building on property located at 346 South McCarrons Boulevard West. (PF# 3342) 1.0 BACKGROUND On August 14, 2001, Mr. Ken Damman submitted an application for a variance to allow a third accessory structure on his property. The Community Development staff reviewed the request and determined that the request for a third accessory structure potentially triggered a number of other necessary variances and a conditional use permit. Staff met with Mr. Damman on September 5, 2001 to review the City Code impacts on the property. The outcome of our meeting was to require additional information to allow the Community development Department to properly determine what variances were necessary and whether a conditional use permit would also be needed given the current site conditions. Further, it was determined that the request should be continued to the October 10, 2001 Planning Commission meeting. 2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the request by Mr. Damman be continued to the October 12,2001 Planning Commission meeting. The continuation will trigger the need to extend the 60-day reVIew. 3.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION On September 12,2001 the request by Kenneth Damman was continued (6-0) to the October 1ih meeting of the Planning Commission. 4.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION By resolution, approve a 60-day time extension to allow the applicant to provide more complete information.
