<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE BUSINESS PARK PROGRAM <br /> <br />BUSINSS PARKS - INFILL AND PRESERVATION <br /> <br />Problem Statement - Infill Development, Business Support, Neighborhood Safety. <br /> <br />STRATEGY 1 <br /> <br />Recognize the City's unique business character, location and proximity to lakes and <br />residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Action I-A <br /> <br />Continue to work with owners to develop architectural design guidelines that <br />define and articulate the character of the area. This document could graphically <br />illustrate characteristic forms for the improvement of private and public property <br />while still allowing diversity and flexibility within the general character of the <br />area. <br /> <br />Action I-B <br /> <br />Annually review area plans for new buildings by developing a summary of <br />problems and issues, and an action plan to maintain or improve area conditions. <br />Issue a "report card" to Planning Commission, Council and Property Owners. <br /> <br />Action l-C <br /> <br />Mix uses within buildings with research, office, service and support facilities, and <br />light manufacturing in the same multi-tenant facilities. <br /> <br />Action I-D <br /> <br />Provide density bonuses or other incentives such as inclusionary housing policies <br />to encourage development that incorporates quality design principles which <br />attracts greater private investment and more head-of-household jobs <br /> <br />Action 1- E <br /> <br />Utilize the City revolving business loan program, in cooperation with local banks, <br />to assist small businesses when improving the site or expanding the building shell. <br /> <br />11 <br />
