Action 3- B

Utilize access easements to maximize use (and sharing) of existing paved parking
and driveways. Use parking structure - underground if financially feasible - to
reduced paved surface surfaces

Action 3-C

Plant street boulevard and median areas, consistent with the City Master Tree
Plan, as part of each redevelopment project.

STRATEGY 4

Reduce traditional single purpose on-site stormwater ponding that creates visual
detriment to the development rather than an amenity.

Action 4-A

Revise ponding standards to include site design and review standards that
encourage on-site management of storm water as an amenity where possible, (or
underground storage where necessary) and stormwater conveyance to regional
ponds where necessary. For example, some temporary (12 hour) storage could be
done in parking lots or underground storage piping by controlling flow from
parking lots to ponds. In addition, more visual enhancements can be provided
such as fountains, park benches and seasonal landscaping.

10
