Chair Duncan closed the <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Cunningham moved, seconded by Member Traynor, to <br />recommend to the City Council approval of Robert Lichtscheidl Conditional Use <br />Permit request to construct a 1,008 square foot detached accessory building <br />(garage) in the rear yard of property located at 2550 Western Avenue, based on <br />the findings in Section 5 and subject to the conditions in Section 7 of the project <br />report dated 03/06/02 and City staff to work with applicant to add landscaping <br />along the east and north sides (arborvitae) to screen the project. <br /> <br />Amendment to Motion: Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member <br />Duncan, for correction of landscaping requirements to the north and south side <br />and with additional condition to require removal of existing garden shed so that <br />all materials are placed in one structure. <br /> <br />Ayes: 2, Mulder, Duncan <br />Nays: 4, Traynor, Olson, Cunningham, Wilke <br />Motion defeated. <br /> <br />Vote on Oril:dnal Action: <br /> <br />Ayes: 4, Traynor, Olson, Cunningham, Wilke <br />Nays: 2, Duncan, Mulder <br /> <br />Member Mulder spoke in opposition to the motion because the garden shed could <br />remain and be expanded. <br />
