Minnesota

July 23, 2003

Mr. Seth Eggessa
1992 Cleveland Ave.
Roseville. MN 55113

RE: 1992 Cleveland CO 1-506

Dear Mr. Eggessa,

At the July 21 sl City Council meeting, which you attended, the council directed staff to take the
following actions regarding Code Violations which presently exist on your property at 1992
Cleveland Ave:

@ Allow 7 days for the receipt of a building permit application for the deck and the driveway.
'fhe paved driveway must be an area only large enough to park the cars on your property,
If a permit is not received before 4:30 p.m. July 29th, stafT will proceed with the issuance of
a Ramsey County Court Citation.

@ Allow 30 days for the correction of the remaining Code Violations. If the violations are not
satisfactorily corrected within this time frame, staff will proceed with the remainder of the
abatement process, which is, for stafT to contract with vendors ft)r the abatement of each
violation and assign the costs to the property's taxes (as per City Code Section 407.06 ~
copy enclosed). Please note: This correspondence serves as the first notice of the
abatement process - which will be cancelled should you comply.

@ Schedule a meeting with yourself, Mr. Gilbertson and City Staff-to discuss a resolution of
the drainage swale completion and other related issues,

To ensure you are clear as to each violation and what must occur to avoid either the court citation or
the abatement process, I will again list each specific violation and corrective measures necessary.

@ Several brush piles exist on the property. These are on the East, South and West sides of the
property and consist of cut logs and accumulated brush. This is a violation of 407.02 D of
the City Code. The piles of cut logs could be moved and stacked if done so in compliance
with 407.03 G (6" off the ground, maximum 6' high, neatly stacked and in a side or rear
yard). Please complete before August nod, 2003.
