Maintenance Activities: Movement of sweeping vehicles, garbage tmcks, maintenance <br />6 trucks, shopping carts, and other service vehicles and equipment is prohibited within three <br />7 hundred feet (300') of a residential district between the hours often o'clock (10:00) P.M. and <br />8 seven o'clock (7:00) AM., except for, emergency vehicles and emergency utility or <br />9 maintenance activities. <br />10 <br />II Except in the case of emergency, all snow removal operations within three hundred feet <br />12 (300') of an adjacent residential district shall be undertaken consistent with a snow <br />13 management plan that must be annually submitted to and approved by the city. The plan <br />14 must include measures to minimize removal activity during the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) <br />15 P.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) AM. consistent with public safety requirements. The plan <br />16 must also address the location and management of short-term (7 day or less) and long-term <br />17 (more than 7 days) storage of snow on-site and off-site. Long term snow storage shall not <br />18 occur within 300 feet of a residential zone. Long term snow storage may only occur on <br />19 surplus parking spaces beyond the required spaces within Section 1018 of this Code. <br />20 <br />21 HI. Equipment Restrictions: All ground-mounted or roof-mounted equipment, automatic <br />22 doors, speaker systems, gas pumps, car washes, vehicle vacuum cleaners, air hoses, or other <br />23 noise sources within three hundred feet (300') of a residential area must be completely <br />24 screened to a point five feet (5') above the first floor of adjacent residences. Outdoor speaker <br />25 systems or other public address systems which can be heard outside are not allowed to be <br />26 used between the hours often o'clock (10:00) P.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) AM. within <br />27 three hundred feet (300') of a residential district, even if screened. <br />28 <br />29 IJ. Lighting: The height oflight poles and fixtures shall comply with subsection 1 010.12 of <br />30 this title, and shall not exceed a height of twelve feet (12') witffitl: iflocated closer than fifty <br />31 feet (50') tOJ~f a residential property line, or a height of twenty five feet (25') iflocated <br />32 between 'lIithin a distance from _fifty feet (50') te and one hundred feet (100') of a <br />33 residential property line, and less than 0.5 foot candles at the pro?erty line (See Chapter <br />34 1011 for light requirements). Light poles or fixtures may be a maximum of forty feet (40') <br />35 tall if located greater than more than one hundred feet (100') from a residential property line <br />36 and if completely screened (light source and light source glare) by building, berm, or <br />37 landscape material with a minimum opacity of ninety percent (90%) to eye level view of <br />38 living spaces in homes within three hundred feet (300') oflight source. All lights not <br />39 reasonably required for security or business operations must be turned off between the hours <br />40 often o'clock (10:00) P.M. and sunrise, or operated by motion detectors so that they only <br />41 turn on when there is activity nearby and turn off shortly thereafter. <br />42 <br />43 JK.
