Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Sections 1011.01 through <br />11 1011.05 and Section 1002.02 are hereby amended by revising language regarding <br />12 nonconforming uses and structures to provide more clarity and ease of use of this section. <br /> <br />13 SECTION 2. Section 1002.02 (Definition of "Nonconforming Structure") is hereby <br />14 amended as follows: <br /> <br />15 NONCONFORMING USE OR STRUCTURE: A nonconforming use or stmcture is <br />16 any use, placement, or arrangement of land and/or stmctures legally existing prior to the <br />17 enactment of a Code provision prohibiting such use or stmcture. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 SECTION 3. CHAPTER 1011 and Section 1011 (Title) is hereby amended to read as <br />20 follows: <br /> <br />21 CHAPTER 1011 <br />22 NONFORMING USES AND STRUCTURES <br />23 <br />24 SECTION 4. Section 1011, subsections 1011.01 through 1011.05 are hereby <br />25 amended as follows: <br />26 <br /> <br />27 1011.01: DEFINITION: <br /> <br />28 A nonconforming use or stmcture . See definition in Section 1002.02. <br /> <br />29 1011.02: EXISTING STRUCTURES OR USES: <br /> <br />30 A. A pre-existing nonconforming use or stmcture may be continued but may not be extended, <br />31 expanded, intensified or changed, unless to a conforming use. Exceptions include: <br />32 <br />33 1. An expansion of a pre-existing residential principal or accessory stmcture in an R-l or <br />34 R-2 zoning district which maintains the same property line setbacks and stmcture <br />35 separations provided there is no further encroachment of any non-conforming stmctural <br /> <br />1 <br />
