<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br />TP <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />DATE: 02/23/04 <br />ITEM NO: 3.1 <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br />Appointment of membership to the newly created Variance Board of <br />Adjustment & Appeals (PF3538). <br /> <br /> <br />J3ah <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />1.1 On January 9, 2004, the Roseville City Council adopted an ordinance (1301) creating the <br />Zoning Board of Adjustment & Appeals. Three members of the Planning Commission <br />are to serve as Members of the "Variance Board". <br /> <br />1.2 At the Planning Commission meeting of February 4,2004, the City Planner asked the <br />Planning Conm1ission for a list of interested Commissioners to serve as members of the <br />Variance Board of Adjustment & Appeals. The Variance Board will consist of four <br />individuals to serve, including three standing members and one alternate. <br /> <br />1.3 The following Planning Commission Members had time and interest to serve on the <br />Variance Board of Adjustment & Appeals: Jim Mulder, Remi Stone, Mary Bakman, Brad <br />Pepper, and Bob Blank. <br /> <br />2.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> <br />2.1 By Motion, appoint Jim Mulder, Remi Stone, Mary Bakeman, as standing members and <br />Brad Pepper and Bob Blank as alternates to serve as the newly created Zoning Board of <br />Adjustment & Appeals for a period of one year (membership appointed by the City <br />Council each year) effective April 1, 2004. <br /> <br />Prepared by Thomas Paschke, City Planner 651-792-7074. <br /> <br />1 <br />
