Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Section 1002 and 1005, is hereby <br />amended by adding or revising language necessary to define restaurant types and to specify <br />which restaurants are permissible (permitted and/or conditional) within Business Districts of the <br />Roseville City Code. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide clarity regarding restaurant <br />types and to locate said types within the most appropriate Business District. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 1002.02 (Definitions) is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />RESTAU~\NT: A restaurant is an establishment selling foods prepared for consumption of <br />customers and shall include the follmving subclassifications: <br />A. Traditional Restaurant: A traditional restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of <br />the customers select their food while seated at a counter or table. <br /> <br />A. Restaurant. Class I - Traditional: An establishment where customers are served <br />their food in or on non-disposable dishes to be consumed primarily while seated <br />at tables or booths within a building and which does not serve liquor. Traditional <br />restaurants may also be a cafe. cafeteria or buffet. coffee shop. and/or deli. Drive- <br />through facilities are not allowed. <br /> <br />B. Cafeteria Restaurant: "\ cafeteria restaurant is a restaurant \\'here a majority of the <br />customers select their food at a serving line and consume the food at a table or <br />counter. <br /> <br />B Restaurant. Class II - Fast Food Convenience: An establishment where <br />customers are served their food from a counter or in a motor vehicle. in <br />disposable packages prepared to leave the premises or to be taken to a table or <br />booth for consumption on the premises. Fast Food Convenience can be a cafe. <br />coffee shop. and/or deli. Fast Food Convenience can include drive-through <br />facilities. <br /> <br />C. Fast Food Restaurant: A fast food restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of <br />the customers order food and are served food at a counter and the food is <br />thereafter taken to a table, counter or off the premises for consumption. <br /> <br />C. Restaurant. Class III - Traditional w/lntoxicatilll!lNon-lntoxicatine (3.2 <br />beer. wine and/or strone beer): An establishment where customers are served <br />their food in or on non-disposable dishes to be consumed primarily while seated <br />at tables or booths within a building and which has a license to serve only beer <br />and wine. <br />
