<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 04/28/03 <br />ITEM NO: <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br />TP jDPW <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />Request by Gerald Voermans for a 503 square foot VARIANCE to <br />Section 1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code allowing a home addition, <br />front stoop, and sidewalk to be constructed at 1251 Roma Avenue <br />(PF3462). <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1.1 Gerald Voermans, 1251 Roma Avenue, has submitted an application seeking approval to <br />construct additional bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom space, as well as, site improvements <br />to include stoops, sidewalk and/or patio, which will increase the impervious coverage on <br />the parcel (10,800 sq. ft.) from the allowable amount of3,240 square feet (30%) to 3,743 <br />square feet (35%). <br /> <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br /> <br />. Application submitted on March 10,2003. <br />. Determined complete on March 10,2003. <br />. 60-day review deadline on May 9, 2003. <br />. Staff Review & Recommendation: Approval w/conditions April 2, 2003. <br />. Planning Commission: Hearing/Approval Recommendation (7-0) April 2, 2003. <br />. City Council Action: Approval- April 28, 2003 <br /> <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />2.1 The Community Development Staff recommends approval of a 503 square foot (5%) <br />VARIANCE to Section 1004.0 1A6 of the Roseville City Code for Gerald V oermans to <br />allow the construction of additional living area and other site improvements, subject to <br />conditions. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />3.1 Adopt a resolution approving a 503 square foot (50/0) VARIANCE to Section <br />1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code w/conditions (see Section 8 for detailed action) <br />for Gerald V oermans, 1251 Roma Avenue. <br /> <br />Project information and detailed recommendation on following pages. <br /> <br />PF3462 - ReA 042803 - Page 1 of 5 <br />
