(Ord. 5 873, 12 22 80) 6 H. P. Signs, Billboards And Marquees: 7 1. All sign fees shall be as established in the most current Fees Resolution adopted by 8 the City Council. 9 1. 'Vall Signs Placed Flat On Building l\nd Roof Signs: For the erection of a sign 10 placed flat on a building or structure or on the roof of a building or structure, the 11 permit fee charge shall be made at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) for the first one 12 hundred (100) square feet of area or fraction thereof, plus five dollars ($5.00) for each 13 additional one hundred (100) square feet or fraction thereof of such sign. 14 2. Projecting Signs 1'\nd Freestanding Signs: For the erection of a sign projecting out 15 from the face of a building or structure and for any freestanding sign the permit 16 charge shall be six dollars ($6.00) for each tv/enty five (25) square feet up to one 17 hundred (100) square feet plus three dollars ($3.00) for each additional t\venty five 18 (25) square feet in excess of one hundred (100) square feet. 19 3. Marquees Projecting Over Public Property: For the erection of marquees projecting 20 oyer any sidev/alk, alley or public property, the permit fee charge shall be made at the 21 rate of thirty five dollars ($35.00) for each such marquee. 22 4. Billboards: For the erection of any billboard not exceeding six hundred (600) 23 square feet in area, the permit fee charge shall be made at the rate of t\venty fiye 24 dollars ($25.00) for each such billboard, plus t\T.'O dollars fifty cents ($2.50) for each 25 one hundred (100) square feet in excess of six hundred (600) square feet or fraction 26 thereof. Double deck billboards shall be considered as independent billboards. 27 5. Cloth Signs: Cloth signs may be placed flat on buildings or structure or on 28 canopies, etc., for a period of time not to exceed thirty (30) days \vithout requiring a 29 permit or permit fee charge to be paid. (Ord. 528, 3 13 67) 30 Q-; I.Chief Code Enforcement Officer Designated Building Official To Ascertain Value 31 Of Construction: Whenever in this Chapter the permit charge is based upon market 32 value of the work to be done, the Designated Building Official Chief Code 33 Enforcement Officer shall ascertain such value. (Ord. 528, 3-13-67) 34 R I Special Permits: The fee for all special events, temporary tents, temporary sales 35 permits not specified by this Code shall be as listed in the most current Fees 36 Resolution adopted by the City Council ten dollars ($10.00). 9
