<br />1 C. Inground Pools: In the case of inground pools, necessary precautions shall be taken <br />2 during construction to: <br /> <br />3 1. Avoid damage, hazards or inconvenience to nearby or adjacent property. <br /> <br />4 2. Assure that proper care shall be taken in stockpiling excavated material to avoid <br />5 erosion, dust or other infringements upon adjacent property. <br /> <br />6 D. Access for Construction: All access for construction shall be over the owner's land and <br />7 due care shall be taken to avoid damage to public streets and adjacent private or <br />8 public property. <br /> <br />9 E. Backflush Water: To the extent feasible, back-flush water or water from pool drainage <br />10 shall be directed onto the owner's property or into approved public drainage ways. <br />11 Water shall not drain onto adjacent or nearby private land. <br /> <br />12 F. Mechanical Equipment: The filter unit, pump, heating unit and any other noise-making <br />13 mechanical equipment shall be located at least fifty feet (50') from any adjacent or <br />14 nearby residential structure and not closer than ten feet (10') to any lot line. <br /> <br />15 G. Light: Light for the pool shall be directed toward the pool and not toward adjacent <br />16 property. <br /> <br />17 H. Safety Fence: A safety fence of non-climbable type at least five feet (5') in height shall <br />18 completely enclose the pool. Gates must be self closing, self latching, and lockable. <br /> <br />19 I. Water: Water in the pool shall be maintained in a suitable manner to avoid health <br />20 hazards of any type. Such water shall be subject to periodic inspection by the City. <br />21 Health Officer. <br /> <br />22 J. Wiring: All wiring, installation of heating units, grading, installation of pipes and all <br />23 other installations and construction shall be subject to inspection by City inspectors. <br /> <br />24 K. Deviation from Standards: Any proposed deviation from these standards and <br />25 requirements shall require a variance in accordance with normal zoning procedures. <br /> <br />26 L. Safety Fencing: Required safety fencing shall be completely installed within three (3) <br />27 'vveeks follO'vving the installation of the pool. prior to filling a pool. <br /> <br />28 M. Nuisances: Nuisances such as undue noise, lighting of adjacent property, health and <br />29 safety hazards, damage to nearby vegetation and the like shall not be permitted. <br /> <br />30 N. Filling of Pool: Filling of pools from fire hydrants or other public facilities or drainage <br />31 of pools into public streets or other public drainage ways shall require permission of <br />32 the appropriate City officials. Drainage of a pool shall meet city and health agencies <br />33 requirements. <br /> <br />20 <br />
