The current home lies 30 feet from the front property line, which is the proper <br />setback required by the City Code. The proposed 6 foot by 8 foot (48 sq. ft.) entry porch would <br />encroach 6 feet into the required front yard (north) setback. Mr. Westermeyer seeks a Setback <br />Permit (6 foot) to encroach to a point 24 feet from the front property line, prior to the City <br />issuing a building permit. <br /> <br />The Setback Permit process allows adjacent property owners the opportunity to comment on the <br />proposal in writing or to comment at the above-mentioned hearing.
