decrease in safety and livability on this road, and adding more traffic from the Twin Lakes Parkway will make a bad
situation even worse. C2 has already become yet another east-west connector to get people through Roseville as quickly
as possible, which flies in the face of our stated desire for Roseville to be a destination for families and for others to put
down roots and stay long term.
Let me be perfectly clear—we can't unring the bell on C2. What's done is done. I regret the Council's decision in 2012 to
open C2, and I can't change the fact that it's now open. However, I'm not writing to complain about what happened in
the past to C2. Instead, let me propose that all of us be part of what happens to the future of C2. I urge you to open the
planning discussion for Twin Lakes Parkway to citizen input, to seek approval from residents on how this project will be
funded, to allow citizens and city planners to work together collaboratively and transparently to arrive at a parkway
solution that finds a compromise between commercial development and livable neighborhoods.
And so Mayor Roe, Councilmembers, I urge to you delay making a decision on the Twin Lakes Parkway Design project
tonight. Instead, I ask that citizens be given more information to understand the project's economic, environmental and
neighborhood impacts. Please give us a chance to have input into this project.
Thanks for your careful consideration, and for your continued service to our community.
David Miliotis
1128 County Road C2
Roseville, MN 55113
651-261-8884
Additional Information:
Form submitted on: 12/8/2014 1:50:32 PM
Submitted from IP Address: 216.84.175.62
Referrer Page: http://www.cityofroseville.com/Directory.aspx?did=17
Form Address: http://www.cityofroseville.com/Forms.aspx?FID=115
2
