<br />1-10AVC'Ver, COUnCilmernber McGehee opined that the Commission had not come to
<br />ask about any of that and had therefore failed to set priorities. COUncilmember
<br />McGehee agreed with Mayor Roe's comments about not being interested in tak-
<br />ing oil more tilaJor financial issues, sit -ice funds were not available to JILIT'SLIC CVe-
<br />rything. Couriciltnernber N/IcCielice reiterated her ofisappointirtent that funds were
<br />not used to build as nice club house for the con-iniunity-I and she was unsure what

<br />sion, could make as plan, oil how to lund as new club house, perhaps peoples, could
<br />contribute to rnake a good club and if offering lunches, perhaps it COUld draw a
<br />nice goll'ing clientele, similar to other gathering buildings, and perhaps offer
<br />cross-country skiing during winter months. Councilmember McGehee expressed
<br />her interest in seeing the (I orrinlission COIIIC LIJ) With such a plan.

<br />Mayor Roe clarified that Cedarholm was not a Parks & Recreation Coinimission
<br />gulf Course, but belonged to the community, and therefore it wasn't up to the
<br />Commission to 6gure everything out, Mayor Roe expressed his disappointnient
<br />with (.7mincilmerriber McGehees attempts at lecturing the Conimission, opining
<br />that if everything she thought the Park Renewal bonds should have been used for
<br />was done, the 1,-)orids \VOUld have been spent something like three times over.
<br />Mayor Roe further clarified that it had been known from tl:,ie onset that the Parks
<br />Renewal Programa was only a partial solution for the community, and it had been
<br />determined to address sonic things first, and noted that C 'colarholill and the Skat-
<br />ing, Center had not been excluded or not recognized as needing work, Mayor Roe
<br />opined that, at this point, to second guess, how the bond ftinds shculd have been
<br />spent and reprioritizing the (decision-making was Futile, and Councill-nernber
<br />McGehccneeded to rilove past that inentality,
<br />Councilynember Etten stated that lie was, looking t'or sonle sense from the Corn-
<br />niission of what as replacennent would be, since there were multiple ways to re-
<br />place it as well as multiple uses it could serve. Councilincinber Etten questioned
<br />whether renovating the current building had validity, but t'cqL,Icstcd inforniation
<br />froni the Commission oil that option: and whether to consider as higher -end club
<br />house or a renovated club house,, and pros and cons, and roUgh COS,IS, for either
<br />choice. Councilri-ternber Etten. further exprLssed his interest in looking at how the
<br />enterprise could enhance revenues Outside of golf, Such as seeking, revenue

<br />been on the CAP for several years, Counciln-ternber Etten asked that those ma ' jor
<br />repairs over S20.000 not be considered L-111til a more robust community discussion
<br />is held. Councilineniber Etten stated that lie was in agrecrilent with Mayor Roe's
<br />comments, and opined that there had been significant opportunities flor the City
<br />Council, the C011111lUnity and other interested parties to provide inpUt for the Park
<br />Renewal Prograrti, components, Nvith choices and priorities made after significant
<br />(fiSCUSSiOn. COU11611nember Etten opined that to bring this issue up repeatedly af-
<br />ter 3-4 years of that: decision having been rmade was not lielpful, t.ci the community
<br />rior did it improve dic future of the comniunity in any way,
