JIll'

e

.

5. Another meet 1 ng was held today wi th represen ta t i ves of JLN
Development Company (Wednesday I O~tober 30, 1985) at which
time they informed us of their intent to revise the site
plan to reduce the square footage or the office struct.ure
and add a hotel structure at the southeasterly corner of the
site, as originally proposed by the city and the Swahn Trust
people. This change will. of course, modifY the site plan,
thus substantially changing the nature of the application.
The architects are in the process of preparing these revised
plans, which hopefully will be available by Monday, August
4th.

6. Given sufficient time, we will prepare a writtdn report for
members of the Planning Commission and Council prior to the
Planning Commission hearing. Though the application could
have been delayed to the December meeting, there are
benefits to completing the tax increment proposal and
bonding prior to the end of the calendar year. We are
hopeful that the revised development plan and ensuing
financial program will constitute a workable and
advantageous developmE'nt. mutually beneficial to the
developers and the city.
