This service station, you will recall, was of a relher <br />good design, with the service space oriented to the rear, which was to be <:on- <br />strueted by tho Murphy Oil Company. On the westerly portion of the prOpelt)', If>-; opplicort proposes to construct <br />a 42 unit apartment building on fhe land currently zoned R2. The construction <br />cf a 39 unit apartment building is automatically possible under the section of <br />the ordinance establishing transitional uses contiguous to bUSiness zones. The <br />ordinance sl':ltes that where land is zoned single.{c:mily and is r~:d to c bUSIness, <br />o duplex may be built. The ordinance also states that un lond that is zoned <br />R2 and is loc~ted next to a business zone, On apartment may be built.
