Box 249178 <br />Coral Gables, FL 33146-5010 <br /> <br />Re: Knight Program in Roseville <br /> <br />Dear Dean Plater-Zybeck and Director Bohl: <br /> <br />Roseville remains very interested in hosting the Knight Program in Community Building in the <br />fall of2002. The Roseville City Council passed a resolution on June 10,2002 in support of the <br />Knight Program. The Council is formally inviting the University of Miami and the approximate <br />30 professional fellows and support staff to the City of Roseville. In addition, Roseville <br />Community Development staff is willing to dedicate 2-3 staff member during the week of the <br />Knight Program along with the production of area maps and technical supportive materials. <br /> <br />Roseville has received additional local and regional support letters for the Knight Program. <br /> <br />. The North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition is a subregional planning initiative of the <br />seven suburban communities north of the Twin Cities with Roseville as the most <br />southern participating community. <br />. The University of Minnesota, Design Center for American Urban Landscape is involved <br />in the community through the preparation of a long term build-out study which is <br />reviewing alternative scenarios to develop and implement a livable community <br />planning and urban design framework on a subregional basis. <br />. Roseville Visitors Association, the local hospitality marketing group, offers their support <br />and assistance in locating accommodations and recreational event planning for the out of <br />town guests. <br />. Jones Lang LaSalle, owners of the Rosedale Center, is where the key focus of the study is <br />proposed. <br />
